A race through the spectacular landscapes of Turrialba

Nearly 500 cyclists took the start of this final edition, ready to experience a challenging and spectacular course through the Turrialba region, surrounded by lush vegetation, mountainous terrain and volcanic landscapes.

In the 110 km race, Jexon Ledesma claimed victory in the men’s category in 3:08:37, ahead of Sebastian Calderon Casavolone and Dylan Jiménez. The top three finished within just two seconds of each other, averaging 34.36 km/h.

In the women’s race, Johanna Solano once again confirmed her status as one of Costa Rica’s leading cycling figures, taking the victory in 3:57:55, at an average speed of 27.24 km/h.

She finished ahead of Natalia Lopez Arrieta, second in 4:13:38, and Tatiana Hidalgo, third in 4:24:09.

Johanna Solano qualifies once again for the Championship Programme

This victory was particularly special for Johanna Solano, who also secured another qualification for the L’Étape Series Championship Programme.

She will therefore join her fellow Costa Rican riders at the start of L’Étape du Tour de France, with the route set to be revealed on October 23, 2026, in Paris.

A final dance in true Pura Vida spirit

A beautiful way to conclude “The Last Dance” and these three years of the L’Étape Series by Tour de France adventure in Costa Rica.
